First off, and most important, I got her a much needed Porsche badge after so many insulting "oh that's a nice, what is that a Nissan?".

Now on to the getting her running part, things are looking good, after replacing the filter and pump, getting a new battery and cleaning out the warm up regulator, fuel is finally flowing. Just got my issues with the new pump sorted out today as a matter of fact(no, of course I didn't do something as stupid as wiring in the polarity wrong). After what seems like hundreds of hours playing around under her hood and butt I was hoping it would just start up magically. But of course not. Looks like i'll be pulling out the injectors next, hope things are swell after that. Also recommendation, DO NOT buy a car that is in the middle ground between a carb and ECU controlled injection. Because this CIS(Continuous Injection System) is a pain in the ass, and im pretty sure the stage between getting her running and getting her smogged is not going to be pretty. Because seriously, im going to have to troubleshoot was is basically a VACCUUM COMPUTER SYSTEM.

after so many insulting "oh that's a nice, what is that a Nissan?"

1982-1989 Porsche 944 has less power and more weight than both a 1984 300zxt and an S13 K's and probably cost quite a bit more too, and both have about as good/better selling prices today.

Just sayin'. ;)

How does CIS work? I assume it's a Bosch K-Jetronic CIS?

To be completely honest, if it doesn't degrade you so much, I suggest seeing if you can switch to an analog Bosch L-Jetronic from a '76-'83 Nissan 280z or 280zx. It's one of those transitional injection systems (came out a year earlier than the continuous one), but it's a non-continuous mass air flow sensing one, and from what I've seen, they're incredibly easy to work with and reliable. They aren't as good as a modern one, but it's probably way better than the K-Jetronic.

I don't know if the switch is easy or even possible, but it was a better system with a similar design/use, so if I can help in pointing you in the right direction, perhaps you could look into that as a cheap alternative to a completely new EFI if you continue to have problems with it.

Vacuum leaks will make you go nuckin' futs.

Vacuum logic systems suck, but look at it this way. it isn't a turbo.

Boost would add nearly twice the complexity. You can figure it out.
